A couple of year's ago I was reading in a newspaper a tribute to
the work of Germano Facetti. He was a graphic designer who spent
some time as art director of Penguin books. He designed some
really great book covers for Penguin. All of a sudden I started to
notice these books everywhere. Not only that, they were also very
cheap (usually less than a pound). £1.00 for a work of art. A
couple of months later I had 50-100 paperbacks with beautiful
covers and no way to display them. So I designed this product.
'Picturebook' is a simple wooden frame for holding and displaying
a favourite book. The sides are open so you can still read it or swap
it for another. Designed in 2007 and manufactured by Loglike.
It was licensed in 2008 to Suck UK.
